1097. Thomas Copp Meader (1870 - 1941)
Thomas Copp Meader, son of Daniel G. Meader (1836-1905) [1057] and Agnes Copp (1843-1918), was born at Eldora, IA August 16, 1870 and died there June 6, 1941. He studied at Cedar Rapids Business College and the Chicago Institute of Business. He served as Clerk of Courts in Hardin County for four years and was with the State Auditing Department for 18 years. He was Collector of Delinquent Taxes in Hardin County from 1933 until his death. He was Secretary of the Eldora Cemetery Association and of the Hardin County Agricultural Society.
He married:
1) Edyth Chandler in 1893. She was born January 27, 1873 and died at Eldora September 24, 1898, the day her twins were born.

i. Josephine Meader, who died that year.
