0653. Jerome Clement Meader (1928 - 2020)
Jerome Clement Meader, son of Jerome C. Meader (1902-1970) [0562] and Doris Conner (b.1906), was born in the Ballston Lake, NY area April 24, 1928. Known as Jerry. He was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and served as a Major in Viet Nam. He retired October 1, 1972 as a Lieutenant Colonel with 24 years of military service. After that he was a Captain with Command Airways, Dutchess County Airport, Wappingers Falls, NY. Both at Nott Terrace High School and the University of Oklahoma he was an outstanding track star. March 8, 1952 at Schenectady, NY he married Elna Ann Bisbee, born March 25, 1932 in Schenectady the daughter of Chester C. Bisbee of Newport, RI and Grace W. Gardiner of Lowell, MA. They lived in Cornwall, KY and had a summer residence at Brant Lake, NY.
