She is the daughter of Jerome C. Meader and Elna A. Bisbee, born on 8/22/55 in Niskayuna, NY. She and John Bean have three children, Sarah Bean, Ethan Bean, and Stephen Bean, all born in Norwich, CT on 8/31/83, 7/27/86, and 3/22/89 respectively.

Linda's daughter Sarah is married to Walter Bell and they are expecting their first child in November. Ethan is engaged to Jeanette Dahlberg and they will be married on October 4, 2014. Her son Stephen is living in Falls Church, Virginia.
