0410. Ora Albert Meader (1860 - 1942)
Ora Albert Meader, son of Otis Meader (1835-1911) [1869] and Hannah Fuller (1834-1908), was born July 19, 1860 in Albion, ME and died, probably in Waterville, MW, June 15, 1942. February 19, 1884 he married Jeannette Hannah Nash of Salem, MA, the adopted daughter of Charles Cushman Nash, farmer and builder, who died April 30, 1942. He attended Oak Grove Seminary, Vassalboro, and Coburn Classical Institute, Waterville.
He owned and operated a wholesale produce market in Waterville. He served as Mayor of Waterville in 1917-1918 and Treasurer of the city 1933-4. He was President of the Waterville Savings Bank, was on the boards of other banks, and was Vice President of the Waterville Historical Society. He was a 32nd degree Mason, Rotarian and Elk.
