Stephen Meader, son of John Meader (1715-p.1759) [0019] and Widow Morse (d.1758), was born in Durham, NH in 1758 and was killed May 14, 1819 by a team of oxen passing over him. He inherited property by his grandfather Nicholas’ [0007] will after the death of his brother Thomas in 1778. Stephen Meader had been blind for several years before his death. He had a half-brother and sister surnamed Morse from his mother's former marriage. He married Rose Quimby of Newington, Rockingham, NH.
