0048. Stephen Meader (1758 – 1819)

Stephen Meader, son of John Meader (1715-p.1759) [0019] and Widow Morse (d.1758), was born in Durham, NH in 1758 and was killed May 14, 1819 by a team of oxen passing over him. He inherited property by his grandfather Nicholas’ [0007] will after the death of his brother Thomas in 1778. Stephen Meader had been blind for several years before his death. He had a half-brother and sister surnamed Morse from his mother's former marriage. He married Rose Quimby of Newington, Rockingham, NH.

0128	iii.	John Meader, born about 1790 and died in 1833.
	iv.	William Meader, who died young.
0129	v.	Jonathan Meader, born about 1800.
1407	vi.	Rebecca Meader.
1408	vii.	Mary Meader. She married Jacob Tarn of Cambridgeport, MA. They had no children.
	viii.	Betsey Meader, who died young.
	ix.	Deborah Meader, who died young.
