Annie Eliza Meader, daughter of Henry I. Meader (1857-1926) [0309] and Mary Dunan (1859-1895), was born June 23, 1889 in Washington, DC and died July 4, 1942 at Colonial Beach, VA.
As a young woman, due to her quick math ability, she worked at her father's store as cashier. There she met Irving William Luskey, a young fireman of the neighborhood,. Apparently her family objected to the marriage, and the young couple eloped to Baltimore November 29, 1908, traveling by train. They moved to a flat at 1363 Pennsylvania Avenue, SE, where their first son was born, and to other addresses in Washington as Fireman Luskey was transferred. He was injured several times in the line of duty, once almost losing his life. He rose from watch to fourth man on the engine in 1906 to Lieutenant on August 1, 1925.
Irving Luskey was born April 18, 1884 in Washington and died September 1, 1973 in St. Petersburg, FL. He was son of William Alexander Luskey and Sarah E. Frances Scott of Washington. After the death of Annie Meader, he married Fern Bowman Allen December 15, 1950 in Brooksville, FL.

i. Irving William Luskey, Jr., born July 16, 1911 in Washington. March 24, 1934 he married Agnes Bertha Cadell. Their children were:
a. Phyllis Audrey Luskey, born August 6, 1935 in Washington. February 14, 1954 in Oxon Hill, MD she married Arthur Dean Cox, born April 26, 1929 son of August Narval Cox and Mabel Estelle Hill. They had three children.
b. Judith Lynn Luskey, born April 13, 1940. She was not married.
ii. Elwood Luskey, born June 4, 1913 in Washington. He married Thelma Bell. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II.
iii. Harold Alexander Luskey, born January 5, 1918 in Washington. He married Mildred Reeves. He served in the Navy in World War II. He died October 25, 1970.
iv. Raymond Louis Luskey, born August 4, 1921 in Washington. He married Virginia Mans.
