1081. Nettie Urania Meader (1864 - 1950)
Nettie Urania Meader, daughter of Nathan P. Meader (1843-1900) [1046] and Mary McKee (1840-1817), was born at Blue Earth, MN October 10, 1864 and died in Chicago August 21, 1950. February 28, 1886 she married Thomas Benton Davison, Jr. at Vesta, Nebraska, born May 2, 1858 at Pilot Knob, MO and died October 9, 1915 at Roseburg, OR.
"After her father's death and the family farm was sold at Auburn, Nebraska, it seems that she and her husband were already at Fairfield, Nebraska, and evidently Mary Meader and Carrie and Frances (when she wasn't teaching) lived with Nettie and her husband Bud. At least that family group all went to Roseburg, Oregon with the intention of locating there. Then the Ralph Meader family was to have followed, but with the deaths of Bud and Mary, then Carrie and Frances, all in a four-year span, the Ralph Meaders never followed. Nettie then went to live with her son Willard in a suburb of Chicago for the rest of her life. She was a hard worker in the Methodist Episcopal Church and went to all the conferences as a lay delegate. She spent some summers in South Dakota with Royce's family, and one summer, 1940 I think, Olive Meader went up to Rapid City and spent a month with her. They were close friends as well as sisters-in-law."
The children of Nettie Meader and Thomas Davison were:
i. Willard Alton Davison, born March 17, 1887 in Vesta and died June 14, 1963 in Park Ridge, IL. June 12, 1912 at Park Ridge he married Bessie Harvey, born there and died there December 10, 1918. July 17, 1920 at Chicago he married Elisabeth Marie Toomey, born November 14, 1887 at Chicago and died in July, 1970 at Park Ridge.
ii. Royce Clinton Davison, born November 30, 1888 at Vesta. December 15, 1915 at Fairfield, Nebraska he married Emily Jane Fowler, born April 10, 1893 at Fairfield and died April 15, 1959 at Hot Springs, SD. They lived at Smithwick, SD and had seven children.
