Raymon Francis Meader, Jr., son of Raymon F. Meader (b.1897) [0597] and Dorothy McGown (1895-1962), was born August 7, 1922 in Whitinsville, MA. He graduated from Northbridge High School in 1940, attended Bates College and graduated from Parks Air College in 1944. During World War II he served with Pan-American Airways in Canada, India and China. Later he was employed with Sikorsky, a division of United Aircraft, and lived in Fairfield, CT.
June 24, 1944 in Shediac, New Brunswick he married Elaine Humphrey, born December 5, 1920 in Hartford, CT the daughter of George Harold Humphrey and Bertha Ferris. She graduated from Bates College in 1942 and taught school until her marriage and while her husband was overseas during World War II.
