Donald Eugene Meader, son of Dana W. Meader (1882-1964) [0425] and Annie Marshall (1885-1964), was born at Rochester NH January 21, 1927. He married Elizabeth L. Gray at Rochester September 5, 1949. She was sister to Edgar Gray, who married Donald Meader's sister, Alma [0537].
He served in the U.S. Navy, 1944-5, and received his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of New Hampshire in 1950. From 1950 to 1957 he lived in Ansonia, CT while employed as a mechanical engineer by Farrel-Birmingham Corp. After that he lived in Danvers, MA while employed as mechanical engineer with various Massachusetts firms. He moved to San Diego, CA in 1978 to continue working as an engineer with Maxwell Laboratories, Inc.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Donald Eugene Meader died on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, in San Diego, California. He was 89 years old. Donald, son of Dana W. Meader and Annie Marshall was born at Rochester, N.H., January 21, 1927. He grew up on Meaderboro Road. He married Elizabeth L. Gray in Rochester, September 5, 1949.
Donald served in the U.S. Navy, 1944-1945 on the naval ship U.S.S. Curtis. He received his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of New Hampshire, in 1950. From 1950 to 1957 he lived in Ansonia, Conn., while employed as a mechanical engineer by Farrel-Birmingham Corp. He then moved to Danvers, Mass., while employed as mechanical engineer with various Massachusetts firms. He moved to San Diego, Calif., in 1978 to continue working as an engineer with Maxwell Laboratories, Inc.
Surviving children are his daughter, Bonny Sue Morano; sons, William Meader, Douglas Meader and Craig Meader; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
SERVICES: Donald will be buried next to his wife Elizabeth in the Friends Cemetery on Meaderboro Road.
