Dana William Meader, son of Eli Meader (1845-1921) [0294] and Sarah Vickery (1848-1916), was born October 6, 1882 in Rochester, NH and died January 22, 1964. June 25, 1908 at Dover, NH, he married Annie Ethel Marshall, born at Rockport, MA July 27, 1885 and died December 29, 1964.

“Dana W. Meader was a quiet, hardworking man, a member and active leader in the Meaderboro Society of Friends and highly regarded in the community. In partnership with his elder brother Albert Eli [0424] he shared operation of a fruit and dairy farm on the family homestead place. From 1919 to October, 1952 Dana served as a rural mail carrier. Upon retirement following his 70th birthday, he had completed 33 years of driving a mail route out of the Rochester Post Office.”
