0412. Charles Edwin Meader (1869 - 1944)
Charles Edwin Meader, son of Otis Meader (1835-1911) [1869] and Hannah Fuller (1834-1908), was born March 13, 1869 in Albion, ME and died there February 26, 1944. October 2, 1895 he married Cora Whitaker of Albion, born January 29, 1876 and died June 22, 1950.
He operated the family farm on Quaker Hill until his retirement, when it was sold. He loved the land and farming. Although he belonged to several fraternal organizations such as the Odd Fellows, Masons, Grange, etc. he would never accept any town office that was offered him. He valued friendships and felt that to hold a town or other office would inevitably make enemies.
