She was a member of the Society of Friends. On July 2, 1765 she married Aaron Cleveland, son of Ebenezer and Susannah (Folger) Cleveland. Aaron Cleveland was last reported seen in Liverpool, England.
The children of Charity Meader and Aaron Cleveland were:

i. Mary Coleman Cleveland, born on January 5, 1766 [Volume I shows 17766] and died December 1, 1846 either unmarried, or married to a Coleman. She was a Friend and came as representative to the New Bedford Quarterly Meeting from the Nantucket Monthly Meeting.
