David R. Meader, 84, of Back River Road, Dover, NH and of Day Lilly Lane, Rochester, NH, died February 18,2009 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. He was born in Dover, NH on July 29, 1924, a son of Herbert E. and Alta (Vickery) Meader. Mr. Meader attended Dover schools. David served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He sailed aboard the USS Neville (APA9). He was owner operator of Meader's Flower Shop (a family business) before his retirement. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sons, Paul and Steven Meader; two sisters, Annie Pearson and Pauline Knolton, and his brother, John Meader. His first wife, who was deceased in 2006 was Patricia Ann Aziz, also of Dover, NH. His second, wife by common law was Linda S. Albert; David was the father of five children. Paul D. Meader, Eloise A. Meader, Stephen E. Meader, Richard D. Meader and Diana E. Meader. Stephen died as a toddler, Paul died in a car accident in 1996. Daughter, Eliose Meader, married to Argeris N. Karabelas has two sons, Nicholas and Christian Karabelas. They live in Portsmouth NH, Princeton, NJ, Boston, MA, and Aresheim, Switzerland. Richard D. Meader, a musician, has one son, Justin H. Meader. Diana Meader, a USCG 100 ton Licenced Captain and M.Ed. Teacher, as of 2012 was unmarried with no children.
