Persis (Percie) Meader was my great grandmother. I met her in Otsego, Mi. one time, around 195, that I'll never forget. She died in 1954. She had a screened in front porch and a parrot, things a little boy remembers. Later I found out she married a W. Leo Hartwell. My folks had told me she was not related to us even tho she was a Hartwell then. I was too young to understand that explanation at that time. It was later that I found out she had been married to my great grandfather Willis Johnson and I was related to her but not as a Hartwell. I'm still looking for a connection to W. Leo Hartwell. Yes, Percie had 5 children including my grandmother Maude Johnson who married my grandfather Harvey R. Hartwell (1887-1941). Maude had 3 children, Uncle Ernest-1916, my father Arthur E.-1919, and Aunt Dorothy-1921. Maude's second marriage was to Glenn Shively, who treated me and my cousins like his own grandchildren.
