1970. Edward Hoag Meader (1861 - 1888)
Edward Hoag Meader, son of Charles Meader (1831-1875) [0219] and Marozia Gove (b.1839), was born September 29, 1861, probably in Berwick, ME, and died June 10, 1888. December 24, 1887 he married Alice Riley, born August 28, 1860 daughter of James Riley and Sophia Bangs of Lynn, MA. He spent a few months in Florida in 1881-1882 but, not liking the country, returned, learned stenography and at the time of his death was Stenographer and Clerk at the Wiruna Paper Mills, Holyoke, MA. He died at Holyoke. His widow returned to Lynn, where his posthumous son was born:
