Leslie Earl Meader, son of Earl Edgar Meader (1896-1967) [0602] and Mildred Peterson (b.1897), was born at Detroit, MI January 12, 1920.
Leslie Meader attended the University of Minnesota for two years and the College of Traffic Management for two years. He served in the Air Corps in World War II and was a prisoner of war in Germany for l 1/2 years. He was active politically in Bayport as a Councilman, on the library board and on the park board. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a Shriner, 32nd Degree. He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a member of the choir. He was district sales manager for Chippewa Motor Freight, Saint Paul.
He married:
1) Deloris Nerison on May 2, 1942. She was born April 3, 1921 at Dallas Township, WI and died February 18, 1983 at Stillwater, MN. They lived in Bayport, MN.

2395 i. William Allan Meader, born August 19, 1955.
2396 ii. John Leslie Meader, born July 15, 1956.
2397 iii. Gary Alvin Meader, born January 5, 1958. He was a student at the University of Minnesota and in 1979 at Northwest Bible College. He lived in Saint Paul.
2398 iv. Mark Rickey Meader, born September 18, 1959.
2) Eileen Gelford on September 3, 1983. She brought to the marriage two children: Judy Gelford, who married a Klos, and Randy Gelford.
