Barry Orvis Meader, son of Rex W. Meader (1903-1971) [0543] and Jessie Orvis (b.1911), was born May 7, 1945 in Burlington, VT. He married Sarah Welton November 15, 1967 at the Mary Fletcher Hospital, Southwest Harbor, ME. She was born January 27, 1949 the daughter of Ted and Caroline Welton.
Barry Meader was a self-employed salesman. He attended Monkton grade school, Hinesburg High School and was graduated from Vermont Technical College, Randolph Center, in agriculture. He served with the U. S. Coast Guard from 1965 to 1969. He was active in the Monkton Church and was a member of the Coast Guard Reserve, Burlington.
