Leo K. Meader, son of Harry Lyle Meader (1896-1971) [0433] and Dessie Decker (b.1897), was born in Peru, IA November 29, 1919. He was a lime truck driver and farmer. In World War II he served in the 814th T D Battalion and was involved in the Battle of the Bulge and several other major campaigns.
He married Dorothy Holmes on April 10, 1946 at Kansas City, KS. She was born July 1, 1919 the daughter of Earl and Florence Franks Holmes.
