Daniel Meader, son of Ephraim Meader (1785-1871) [0063] and Hannah Cook (1792-1878), was born in Sandwich, Carroll, NH on March 2, 1826 and died on October 6, 1894 in his 69th year. On February 20, 1848 his Friends' certificate of intention of marriage with Dorithea Straw of Lyman, NH was declared void. On October 19, 1857 he married Louisa Neal, born January 10, 1826, sister of Hannah Neal who married Daniel's brother Oliver [0159] and daughter of Elijah Neal (1782-March 19, 1857) and Comfort Morrell (1788-August 12, 1871) of North Berwick, ME.
He received the Deborah Hill Quicks farm near Albion, Providence, RI on the death of Mrs. Quicks and moved there in 1847. For several years he lived there with his wife. His son Francis later lived on the farm, Daniel having moved to Saylesville, RI to live with his son Walter.
