Benjamin Meader, son of Stephen Meader (1782-1856) [0062] and Sarah Whitehouse (1780-1858), was born December 17, 1822 in Rochester, NH and died on February 20, 1892, probably in Rochester, in his 70th year. On October 5, 1845 he married Mary Atwood, daughter of Harris and Mary Atwood, who was born September 10, 1816 and died May 31, 1890. She. was from Providence, RI, and they lived there for several years before moving back to the homestead at Rochester.
