Charity Meader, daughter of John Meader (1713-1797) [0012] and Hannah Stewart (1736-1798), was born on Nantucket May 6, 1745 and died there on April 19, 1812 in her 67th year. She was a member of the Society of Friends. On July 2, 1765 she married Aaron Cleveland, son of Ebenezer and Susannah (Folger) Cleveland. Aaron Cleveland was last reported seen in Liverpool, England.

The children of Charity Meader and Aaron Cleveland were:
i. Mary Coleman Cleveland, born on January 5, 1766 [Volume I shows 17766] and died December 1, 1846 either unmarried, or married to a Coleman. She was a Friend and came as representative to the New Bedford Quarterly Meeting from the Nantucket Monthly Meeting.
ii. Lydia Cleveland, born about 1768 and died at Savannah, GA in 1799, unmarried.

They had a son Henry Cleveland, who married Margaret Poffitt of London and had seven sons. One of these, Henry Cleveland, was an Episcopal clergyman, residing at Rectory Ronald’s Kirk, Barnard Castle, England, in 1850-51.
