Arthur Lloyd Meader, Jr., son of Arthur Lloyd Meader (1879-1979) [1219] and Emily Louise Ellis (1889-1969), was born at Clarksville, TN December 13, 1920. He was graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. Magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1941. In 1947 he received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin.

1) Ann Louise Johnson July 31, 1943 at Kansas City, KS. She was born January 18, 1921 at Ashland, WI the daughter of Carl Leon Johnson and Hilma Sophia Mattson. They were divorced in 1951.
