1639. William Penn Meader (1833 – 1881)

William Penn Meader, son of Henry C. Meader (1805-1867) [1638] and Lydia Morrison (1811-1881), was born November 8, 1833 in Lincoln, and died April 13, 1881. He received a Certificate of Removal from Monkton to the Gilead (OH) Monthly Meeting (date not given).

He married:
1)     Louisa Green, born December 17, 1836 the daughter of Nathan Green and Sarah Huntington and died on March 9, 1856 at Lincoln. She is listed as Louisa in the Lincoln Quaker Cemetery, although she was apparently known as Mary.
2)     Elizabeth Huntoon, born in 1837 [Volume II shows 1827] in Shrewsbury and died January 24, 1895.
The children of William Meader and Elizabeth Huntoon were:
2032 i. Addie Louisa Meader, born May 9, 1862.
1900 ii. Arthur Meader, born May 9, 1864, twin to Addie, and died unmarried on January 31, 1898 [Volume II shows he was born September 9, 1864].
2033 iii. Frank E. Meader, born March 8, 1867 and died January 24, 1918.
1901 iv. Charles S. Meader, born October 9, 1872.
[Note: The 1870 Census also lists a Martha, age 6 and an Arthur, age 3.]
