Joel William Meader, son of Jerome C. Meader (1902-1970) [0562] and Doris Conner (b.1906), was born in Ballston Spa, NY July 2, 1933. He was a graduate of the University of Vermont and a captain and company commander in the National Guard. He was a sales representative of the Hess Oil Company and later account executive with the New York Telephone Company. July 5, 1958 in Albany he married Eva Jane McLauchlin, born February 1, 1936 in New York City the daughter of John J. McLauchlin and Mary Elizabeth Hyland. They lived in Albany.
