0245. Louisa Meader (1804 – 1876)

Louisa Meader, daughter of Stephen Baggage Meader (1779-1855) [0132] and Eliza Gates (1784-1811), was born in 1804, probably in Ryegate, VT, and died in 1876.

She married:
1)     Colonel Everett Kimball Heath of Newbury, Orange, VT, about ten miles south of the Ryegates, on August 3, 1836. He was a farmer, educated as a civil engineer, and he taught school for several years. His grandmother lived with him until she was 90 years old.
Two children of Louisa Meader and Everett Heath were:
i. Henry Heath, who married. He served in the 13th[?] New Hampshire Regiment during the Civil War. After being mustered out he went to Australia. Nothing more is known of him.
ii. Maria Louise Heath, who died September 21, 1887. In November, 1858 she married Abner Webber, born may 21, 1838 son of Louisa Meader’s second husband and died in August, 1901 at Concord. There were two children.
2)     William Webber, a widower with seven children, born about 1797 and died July 23, 1870.
