Joshua Meader was a carpenter. He and his family were recorded in the Lincoln Friends Meeting records of the late 1820s. He received a Certificate of Removal from Ferrisburg to Berwick, ME January 29, 1834 together with his wife Jemima and two children. They returned to Ferrisburg two years later, that Certificate of Removal dated January 21, 1836. July 27, 1843 they and Valentine received a Certificate of Removal from Ferrisburg to Starksboro. At the time of the 1860 census they lived in Mount Gilead Township, Morrow County, OH. They seem to have moved there about 1854.
