Mary H. Meader, daughter of George F. Meader (1783-1868) [0098] and Charlotte Bromley (b.1784), was born in Easton, NY February 4, 1809 and died January 19, 1876. On January 1, 1825 she married James S. Gorham, a farmer and stonemason living on the Cheese Factory Road near the Robert Meader farm. The original Gorham lands, which had been quite extensive, were reduced from time to time by sale of several parcels which were later part of the Hillman farm. This Gorham family left Easton before the Civil War. One report is that they went to Claverack [?].

| x. | Augustus Gorham, born in 1845 and died in 1920. He was a farmer and carpenter lining in Easton, and a Civil War veteran. He married Hattie Barker, she died in 1917. | |
| xi. | Fidelia [or Philatea in Bible] Gorham, born in 1848. She married William Groat, a Methodist minister. He held numerous charges including one in Watervliet. | |
| xii. | Alonzo Gorham, born in 1850 and died in 1944. He was a blacksmith, skilled in shoeing race horses. He married Ida Turner, and they lived in Loudonville. |
