Nicholas Meader, son of David Meader (1751-1838) [0047] and Sarah Bean (1751-1838), was probably born in Gilmantown, NH about 1780 [Volume I shows Starksboro, VT]. He married Margaret Bull, probably in Starksboro, VT just after 1808. He seems also to have been living in Monkton, as he received a Certificate of Removal from there to Peru, NY dated December 28, 1836. They moved to Farnham, Canada and from there to Ohio in 1838. Afterward they moved to Pennsylvania. The 1850 Census lists him as a farmer, 71 years old, born in New Hampshire; and her as 68 and born in Vermont. They were then living in Conneault Township, Crawford, PA.
