John Frye Meader, son of Joseph Meader (c. 1730-1784) [0024] and Abigail Varney Frye (1741-1784), was born in Warren, Grafton, NH on January 8, 1782 and died in 1825. He apparently served in the war of 1812, as a stone in the Meader cemetery on Pickering Road, Dover reads “J. F. Meader, Co. 1, 7th NH Infantry.” He moved to Rochester, NH after 1815.
