Tobias Meader, son of Benjamin Meader (1736-1827) [0022] and Patience Varney Hanson (1741-1825), was born, probably in Rochester, NH, May 1, 1767 and died, probably in Lewiston, Maine [History of Durham records show Falmouth, Maine], January 18, 1794.

According to the 1790 Census he lived alone in Lewiston in that year. His Removal Certificate from the Friends' Monthly Meeting at Dover, NH to the Fairfield Monthly Meeting, sent after he had moved "again" to Lewiston, Androscoggin, Maine, was dated December 19. 1789.

Assumedly, then, he was married in late 1790 or early 1791. His wife was Mary Field, of Rochester, NH.
